lake winnipeg ice

Can anyone tell me the ice thickness in the vicinity of Belair/Victoria Beach?  If anyone has been out let me  :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\know if you caught anything?  Itchin to go fishin!

Thinking of  walking on at balsam just wondering anybody else has tried it ?

Ice at Balsom was 14" last Saturday. Guys driving on the west side. Saw just quads on east side. Some cracks were open so be careful. Id think ice would be the same further north

Easy walking at Basam. There Yesterday. Like HG says. 13-14" Ice....probaly 16" by Saturday with the temps we are getting and lack of snowcover.

was on there last saterday ice was 14 inchs its good to drive on seen a couple trucks on it! fishn was kinda slow but from what im hearing fishn has pickd up in deeper water ! be safe and happy fishing!

so what u are all telling me is i can plan a trip on the east side, balsam, drive out on the ice, go out to over 14 feet and hopefully pull in a few greenbacks.I heard the ice was really jagged on the east side?

yup it is but its jagged from matlock to balsa and at balsam its not that bad depends where u go road 100 is good but 103 is not that good need a quad or sled there! go towhere u ggggo on through the marina find 14+ feet of water live minnows ur set hope i helpd !
