Who all is heading north this weekend? I'm heading up that way tomorrow after work.

If anyone sees a tan GMC with SD plates, stop by and say hi.

I'm almost positive that the cap on Horsethief was good enough to hold up to the wind. I'm more worried about Cascade. Last weekend the lake was 90% open yet. The small bit that was frozen didnt have a good layer of ice. That being said, it's been pretty cold up there this week so I'm faily confident there will be some ice to fish on.

i'll be out and about with a couple of guys from the forum...... looking for them perch at cascade most likely, wind doesn't blow quite at hard up there, the lake was capped on Tuesday when my father in law checked it..... so most likely it is still capped, not sure how thick the ice will be thou, probably 3-4" in the bays, I would not venture anywhere else on the lake.....

Sugar Loaf had between 2-3.5 inches of ice when I was there Saturday morning. I fished about 3 1/2 hours or so. Again found a lot of dinky perch but also some good ones. Here is a pic of the largest, just shy of 2lbs.

Sorry to those that tried to get ahold of me this weekend. I was staying at my family's cabin and there was zero cell phone service.
