Best time to buy flashers?

I have a quick question for those out there who own their own vexilar or marcum. I was looking to buy one of these great pieces of equipment and I was wondering when and where is the best time to buy one. I have done some looking on at cabelas, fleet farm, and Craigslist. I really want to buy one now but my mom told me I had to wait until winter.

In June on ebay when nobody except for us maniacs is thinking about ice fishing. Other than that on a after the holidays sale at a big box store.

Mid winter, as retailers are looking to get rid of winter inventory, is usually when prices are lowest. If you want it before ice season Black Friday and Cyber Monday are your best bets for some great deals. EBay is good, sometimes, if you don't mind a little extra risk when spending your money.

I own a FL-18 and a LX-3. The 18 I bought on craigslist for $320 in late winter. The LX-3 I bought in middle of summer for $144. I know you have to buy it when the funds are available but if you buy in the summer you'll get more bang for your buck. Good luck!

Just keep watching the sales flyers, seems like about deer season a lot of places start a few sales, and good luck with whatever you end up getting!
