Jigging Mission
« on: Feb 23, 2023, 08:50 AM »
I took a ride up to the Adirondack mountains for the first time and was not disappointed. I didn't set up any tip-ups but still managed to jig up a bunch of decent-size lakers with some nicer ones in the mix. Most fish were caught in between 30-60 ft of water on swimbaits and other small bait imitations. Check out my video to see how we got it done (Hopefully we can get on to the bigger lakes next season). Tight lines!

Looks like you had lots of fun .. congrats    I'm a little concerned about how thick that ice was,  doesn't look like much

Nice work and good size to all of them. What was the largest and what were you using for line lb test.

Fun to watch, I miss laker fishing through the ice. Definitely looked to be barely 3” thick which I’m fine with just walking on but wouldn’t be side by side with anyone for sure.
I prefer a 2oz sinker for perch...when it hits 'em they won't feel a thing
