yup, I have had two snap my line. The first time I had 3# line on and my reel froze, the next time 2# line and I guess my drag was a littl to tight cause it snapped!!

this summer while fishing in a little bay in about 4 feet of water had a pike bite off my favorite spinner.  We saw it sitting at the bottom of the bay and was trying to hook the spinner but no success.  it was pretty cool to see though.  it just sat there for 5 minutes.

Had it happen many times. Only way to stop it is to use steel leaders.

Yes I`ve had it happen too, very sharp teeth!!! I always check my line for niks after catching one. My son lost a big bass last summer when he forgot to check his line after catching a pic. and his line broke :( Tough way to learn a lesson.

Caught a pickerel earlier in the season and it had a hook that was nearly rusted through wiith a length of line still attached deeply embedded in it's back behind its head.  Strange.  Many times with mono leaders a pickerel will cut the line not with its teeth but with its sharp gill cover as it thrashes its head after being hooked.
