am i the only one who finds it a lil sad that ppl are talking about open water fishin the third week of february?

I'm not givin up. I'll toss a plank in the back of my pickup and a change of clothes. I found a life preserver someone had forgotten on the ice the other day. Bad year but make the best of it

It can always be worse, there are guys out there that never hit the ice once this year ! Due to medical reasons, I really did not think I would be able to get on the ice once this year. I got lucky and got 2 short trips in. We are leaving Friday for a 3 day mission so I can't really complain myself, life is pretty good ! :thumbsup: :icefish:

X2 on that. Never thought I'd look at a hole in the ice this year.. Been great to get out a few times the last couple weeks... Always tough when it ends, and it is always to soon...be thankful for what we do get.

yep sucks i usually fish until april 1st somewhere on the Ice NOT THIS YEAR ... But on the brighter side the big trout will be feeding pretty soon in some of the rivers that come out of the bigger lakes .. time to dust off the fly rod :)

 We are headed over to Maine to a buddys family gathering, the whole clan is hitting the ice Saturday, should be interesting to say the least !  ;)2 :roflmao: I'm really glad to see you back on the ice also buddy, we sure showed them sawbones didn't we !! :thumbsup: :icefish:

Man what a wierd winter....really warm today, snow tomorrow, what next?...and i just got back from catching brookies at the brook across from my house!!...Never seen em so active this early in the season!...fun stuff!
