Has anyone heard on the date this year for the Derby? I need to request it off from work. Also when tickets go on sale for the best derby of the year?

Haven't heard anything yet.  Wonder if they will let vehicles on if the ice doesn't get considerably thicker.

Wonder if it'll leave Cheshire looking more like a war-zone than a frozen lake after too. The Derby is for an excellent cause but there needs to be some sort of clean up crew. I brought my snowmobile, jet sled and some trash bags to clean up as much as I could...a WEEK after.

THey do have a clean up crew but people should pack out what they bring in.

I hope we have alot more Ice then....usually its been about 18in every year...Plus the Jeep needs to dance on the Frozen Water again

i've never been to the JPS derby, but i feel like this is becoming a more common problem everywhere i go.  i always take out what i bring in, and try to grab any other crap left out there that i can.  i feel like every time i go out, i'm seeing more and more trash left blowing across the ice or frozen into it.  anyone else feel the same way?  it's sad to see some of these places getting trashed by slobs who are too lazy to clean up after themselves or just throw their trash down on the ice and watch the wind take it away.

As fisherman, hunters and outdoorsman sometimes it is our job to remind ignorant people to respect the things we all enjoy. Unfortunately alot of people just don't get it

We will be glad to have you come and help us Sunday the 26th at 11a.m. for 6 hours or more.  It was brought to our attention that there was a lot of trash left behind. But later was notified that it was misdirect toward the JPS and although it was 2 other events after the JPS. Not saying it is spotless when we leave. But it is deffinetly not left like the pictures that I saw of the lake 3 weeks later.

We will be glad to have clean up help.
