Fishing Partner for this Weekend
« on: Jan 20, 2012, 07:00 AM »
I am going to attempt to catch my first trout this weekend and none of my buddies want to get up early enough to get to the trout lakes. That and the wife isn't to crazy about me fishing alone.  I am willing to travel pretty much anywhere in the northern half of the state Barre or so North.  Thanks and good luck to everyone.

Do you have some place in mind? I'd be up for fishing with you. There are a couple trout lakes around my area like Nelson which is quiet slow there is woodbury which I've caught rainbows and a couple real nice browns and there is joes pond which has gotten better for trout in the recent yrs. Let me know, I'd be willing to travel up your way too.

fishy - there really aren't any trout lakes that I know of by me, most are a 1.5 to 2 hr drive anyway so heading down to Joes Pond or Woodbury would be fine with me.  My wife's grandparents live in Barre so I can always stay down there tonight to make the drive shorted tomorrow morning.  What ever time and location you want to meet at I will be there.

Lets hit Joe's Pond. I'll get bait tonight so we dont have to deal with it in the morning and you decide the time where you have the furthest drive. We can meet right at the access or try the end with the beach I've never fished that end.

Why don't we meet right at the access. I have heard that for trout you want to be set up early and I am usually up really really early anyway so I can be there by 5:00 with no problem.  If you want to meet later that is fine to since I don't know Joes or what time you need to get there.  If you want to meet later that is fine as well.  I sent you a PM with a description of my vehicle as well.
