Lost fishing rods.
« on: Mar 14, 2012, 01:22 PM »
If anyone here knows a fisherman who was on Memphremagog  at the Eagle point access this morning. Tell him I have the two fish poles and reels he left laying by the road. All he has to do is describe them and he can have them back. He left the ice right ahead of me and was carrying an orange bucket - no sled - and he drove a small gray car. I waited around for awhile, thinking he might be right back - but - no show. I also left word at Wrights bait shop in Derby. You can pm me if you have info.

A happy ending already! A gentleman from Sherbrooke,Quebec just phoned me from Wrights bait shop and came and picked up his rods. A very nice guy and real happy to get his fish poles back. He had got all the way back home before he missed the rods.

Way to go NEK, It's a pleasure to hear good stories like yours, I know if I had lost or left them behind, I would be lost w/out them. The rods I have, I'm very attached to them.

It's a real good place to fish up there. I am just a Perch jerker and have never fished for smelt - but may try them a bit next year. I am making up a couple of rods with real light tips for them.
