Where is the Lower 48's WINTER???

You all might be interested in this weather map I came across. Its the current snow depth accumulation so far for the Lower 48. I continue to see Ice Shanty members posting photos of their catches with a bit of ice on a pond and Green Grass lawns showing in the background! Now I see why.

The weather man say's it's coming the end of next week itching to get out and stab some pike. Bought a new decoys and a fishes ice saw and waiting to use them.

Not sure where it is this year, it ain't here thats for sure !!  With temps in the 50s in the midwest and moving east, it won't be here anytime soon !! Its too bad too, people are so desperate to get on the ice that they are  really pushing their luck on what lttle ice there is and some are paying the ultimate price for their decisions with their lives !

X2--- It's been crazy weather so far! Even up in "ice country" they are have people going through the ice with some lakes having open water in the middle yet!! Like Surf said, people are pushing it and paying with their lives! It's just not worth dying for!! I'll wait!!

Took this picture a few mins ago, my back yard. Not a lot of snow, but at least it still looks like winter.
