i was there this morning and between my old man and i we only managed 7 keepers from 7:30-11. lots of little ones but the bite on them was even slow at times. Going to go out in the morning again and try a more finesse approach. A guy fishing near us had 2 decent northerns on tip ups in about an hour while he was jigging for gills. the electronics were showing a lot of lookers, but not many takers. right around 4 inches of good ice, a lot of spooky sounding cracks when the sun gets beating down, but its safe

where did ya park your vehicle, if ya park along the road going to the island they will tow your vehicle.

I was at Bussey today. My wife graciously dropped me and my brother-in-law off on the island side and later picked us up.
4" of nice clear ice. Just a few Bluegills, a small Pike and a 5# Pike.
A small group evidently walked across yesterday, but couldn't get on at the parking lot and had to walk north along the shore for a safe spot to walk out.
There's a fine line between fishing and standing on the ice looking like an idiot.

i know a person who has a cabin on the island and park there. i fished today and only had 5 keeper gills in 4 hours and ended up giving them to someone before i left. the electronics show a lot of fish but they are mostly lookers and will follow the jig up and not bit it and eventually just sink back down to the bottom

Clearly marked. Tow Away Zone. No Parking This Side. (both sides of the road)
It would be nice to know someone there.

Monday morning I was able to park at the ramp and walk from there, had about five inches of ice. Managed to get ten keeper perch.

Yes, just fished it yesterday. 4-5 inches of ice. Lots of people fishing the northend.

5 inches of ice. Access from both shores. Lot's of small bluegills, a few keepers. Very light bite.

Was out there sunday, about 4-5 inches of ice. I got nervous from 10:30 till 12:30 when the sun came out and started to heat up the ice ... my buddies told me not to worry. Bluegills in the shallows and perch in the deep parts.
