just wanting to know how many people on here are from or around np and how the fishings been going i have had good luck on pan fish on a private pond and did well on crappi at brady

Hi, I just joined today. Fished fire lake a couple times, did well on stocker trout and medium sized bluegills. Think I am headed for island tomorrow.

I too am from NP but have not been out this year yet as surgery and health issues have me sidelined........for now haha.  Looking forward to it!

I was born and raised in North Platte but now live in Omaha but I am coming back for x-mas and last x-mas we did well at welfleet and wondering if they have good ice and if the crappie were hitting.

I live in Brady, did you catch your crappie at Jeffrey by chance?  I have been catching some little ones threw the ice

brady islands that public land south of town welflete ice was 5.5 to 6 last wensday i think u should have plenty of ice xmas weekend crappies bite good in am on waxys a few on minnows few perch good time

I live in Gothenburg, but work in North Platte.  I've been out on Jeffrey, but none of the NP lakes yet.  Like Shepdog, mostly catching little ones.  Ice was around 5" by the boat ramp Sunday, the main body of the lake opened up last week.

Ooh I would love to get me some crappie's. I live in Ogallala and was planning on heading up to crescent in the am but if there are some ponds close for crappie and perch I would be willing to go if someone is interested. Where is this pond ot exactly still new to the area? Hit me up I will watch the forums....

Been out on Enders (BAYS ONLY)  Ice 4'' caught dink perch SLOW
but thats ENDERS for ya.
