PANNING CAMERA
« on: Dec 22, 2011, 06:18 PM »
Does anyone have one of these? Just got back from Cabelas with one of my X-mas gifts. To me from me. These color 7 inch cameras were on sale for 299, regulary 399. Well, had to get one. I have the aqua-view and have trouble turning the cable to find my jig. When I finally find it than I have to secure it to stay in view with jig. A big pain. Hope this camera solves this irrating delima. All I can do now is wait for ice. Anyone else have any comments with this camera?

Is it the one with the camera enclosed in a small waterproof cylinder with 360 degree rotation and the hard wired (semi)remote controls?  If it is, I thought it was a pretty slick camera for the money.  Good  luck with it.

what does the camera look like,I have the aqua-vu too and alot of times it spins real easy.I have to sa marcum has it down pretty good. The shape of there 620/825 series cameras, hold steady in a good current.I`m gonna guess its the drop downs and the wings it has.

JT, if it's the camera I saw it was a Cabela's brand.  Dark green with a sun shield and the camera cable was spooled on top with a clever handle to hold it.

got one. love it!
make it sooooooooooo much more easyer to use. the panning with others was almost not worth it made it real hard to fish while using them. you will love it! I rapped my cable every 2' with red electric tape so i can get it to the right depth quick. them just pan 4 ur jig and done!  ;)

I use the option of pointing the camera down instead of horizontal.  I find this easier to find the jig and less wire down the whole to stop to much tangling.

How long have you had it?  Any issues with it?

I believe the cabelas brand uses the Sony cams. just like marcum does. They are good units I have had one of the older models for 5 years with no problems great bang for the the buck.

have one and love it only thing is that I got mine 2 years ago they were on sell for $199, found out the next year why they were so cheap, mine was the last year for the full size tv the next year they came out with the flat screen in them and they where 1/2 the weight of the one I got, but other than that it works great now I want the little handheald one  :) that is if I ever get to use it  :'(
