I had a talk with Santa today, and he let it slip out what I was getting for Christmas.  Its one of these

I first saw one last winter when Me and Terry hiked into "cold sweat lake" in the back country, and Terry brought one.  Small, light and cuts nice, its the same design as a Finbore III,  its just smaller.   The only bad thing is the only place to get one is Mercers Marine in Newfoundland, but thats OK because I had already planned to go to NL this winter with TGF     and win their ice fishing derby,   So I think I will still try to go and pick this auger up while I am there

Ya that is the only negative point,  Normark did make an 8 inch,  but its discontinued now,    this 6 inch is for my rainbow and brookie lakes,    I can squeeze a fat brookie through a 6 inch hole

Nice tent SC.   I fished a few times in one of those last winter!  total party hut,  HallySlayers Dad bought one,   Got it from Costco.ca    It was a good price too!     I plan on getting a flag too!   See you out there

I needed something big enough for a couple cots for the over nighters this year.

hey salmoncandy thats a great tent! it sets up super quick to. we were able to fit up to four guys in there no problem, a bit crowded but pretty good otherwisse. if you put a heater in it it likes to freeze up with the condensation and is really hard to fit back in the bag. thats the only downside we had with it.  Have fun!

good job you bought that one for cots.....I went with fishmann the last 2 days of Muley season and didn't check if cots fit first in Costco rig but luckily just barely fit.  Nice big buck for our efforts too.

    Its here !!!!!!     Santa came early.   I must have been a good boy,   This came today, and my Showdown and LX-i came back from Marcum, (getting upgrades)   So today was a good day.   I am smiling        CooCoo got another 3/4 of an inch of ice,   still as clear as a sheet of glass.   I decided today that my Showdown is awesome, and I dont need that new LX-7,   So instead of the fancy new sonar,   I got the go-ahead (from Ise De Gurl) to get the fancy Marcum 825SD camera,  I think I can benifit more from that.
