Drifter should be here Monday for a couple days of fishing for lakers. Any bets?   ;D

Anyone going to be at LL this weekend? He should be here Monday around noon. If not maybe we can get a dinner together somewhere.

It was a tie. We both got skunked. The lake was rougher than I have ever seen it and it never calmed down for 4 days.

Lucky to get out of there on the scheduled date. It was that rough. Several more rigs in the parking lot on a Wednesday that normally wouldn't be there. I suspect that at least 4 boats were staying put until it calmed down. Worst conditions ever.

The guy I bought my lot from said 3 boats got swamped under power that weekend. We got a bit lucky or we are just that good.

There was no reason to get swamped. The waves weren't that bad.
I've been out in way worse than that.
My guess is the boatsthat were swamped were driven by inexperienced or just plain lousy boaters (there are many around). Too often I see people that don't even know what marker bouys mean.   ::)
