Call Sleeping Buffalo and ask for the number for the bar there. They would know best.

Don't call the sleeping buffalo they seem to never have a clue, but Murph's Landing(the bar) will know. The number is 406-527-3472

 A week and a half ago, it was 27" thick by the boat ramp.  The top half was rotten, the bottom was solid ice.  I don't know what it's like now, with the past week of temps in the 40's.

just talked to a local bout 3 days ago. he said the ice was around 30" but the access(state park) is miserable. recomended atv/snow machine.
