I was just looking over some of our pics from Dragon. You may want to test your scale if you get a chance - this beast was weighed with a digital scale and it came out to 7 lbs 1 ounce. You can see by the belly how solid this fish was. Not trying to be "that guy", but I would estimate those fish around 5 or 6 lbs. In any case, nice fish! Kind of a shame to keep both of those fish from that lake though - they are muddy all year round and only get worse the bigger they get.

The store clerk at Frank's supermarket said apparently they like a "smorgasbord" of bait but I dont know if he said that just to sell more bait.

....nice fish btw RemoteControl.

Unfortunately I didn't get a measurement, they are all cut into steaks now  ???   We baked some and made some trout casserole with some more today. (trout casserole is AWESOME good). They tasted fine to me. I also heard that they can taste muddy in the summer and that in the winter they taste fine. I don't know about summer as it is the first time I fished Dragon lake. These were the biggest fish I ever caught in my life though. I'm from NB originally and over there 1-2lb trout were all I managed out of brooks and streams. Only when I moved here did I get into lakes, ice fishing and fly fishing. BC is the fishing capital of Earth as far as I'm concerned, lol. There is just so many places to try, it boggles the mind. The scales may have been off, I don't know. It belonged to my buddy and I am not used to fish this big so I just went by the scale.

In January we used a black jig head with a piece of shrimp and a piece of worm. As Lurker said, they seem to like a combination of different baits. Lots of jigging with some pauses. I went last weekend though and it was super slow so maybe I don't know anymore!  :-\
