Reel Nurse and I hit up Lake Hortonia off of Route 144 on Saturday afternoon. I was not impressed with the ice at all. About a foot of it but only 2-3 inches of good black ice which broke off in sections. Was putting my foot through old holes very frequently and there were cracks that were seperating that you could also put your foot through. Just show some caution if you are going to be hitting up this area please!!!
We managed 6 nice bass and 6 decent northerns and a few slab perch in about 3 hours. A good way to end the year....
