Anyone use A Sonice Ice Hopper

Been seeing these more and more on the ice, I'm thinking about lightening up my Frabill Commando and running a bucket seat with an ice hopper.

Can't get the link to work but Sportsmen's direct has them for about $100 for the whole set-up

that is quite the rig... looks like it would be pretty slick when jumping around hole-to-hole outside.

It is, I can drill a series of holes and just move down the line or can pull it off the sled anmd take it into any shelter. Keeps everything at a great viewing height. I rarely fish out of a shelter even on the coldest of days as I put on my SnoSuit which keep me warm.

Craigthor,

What is the stability like on that sled you have?  I just got my Ice Hopper and used it this weekend....AWESOME!!!....I was looking at those sleds, but was worried they would constantly be tipping over when pulling on anything but flat snow or ice.....

Extremely stable, I need to post a couple of new pictures with the gas auger mounted and it pulls like a dream. The only time I had it tip to the side was when I attempted to pull it over a 3' snow drift and it sunk in. Other then that it glide really well. I do want to put some runners on the bottom for extra protection though.

Please post some more pictures of it.....I'd like to see an "end view"....It almost looks like it is a catamoran style "hull".

I have heard some good reviews on these, my only concern is that it seems like all that "stuff" between me and the hole would be in the way. Any issues? I'm having a hard time visualizing how it would work for me.

There's really nothing that gets in your way....It all pretty much ends up between your legs....So, if you legs get in the way, then you have bigger problems!  :P

I think it is one of the best things on the market....I am getting a second complete setup for my 11 year old son....I have to fight him to give it back to me when we are fishing, so it's time for his own!  ;D
