Lac du Bonnet
« on: Feb 18, 2011, 11:50 AM »
Going out for a Sunday fish to Lac du Bonnet. Meeting with a friend up near Still Cove Road. Does anyone know the area or have any tips for fishing out there or what kind of fish are most prevalent? I don't really care what I catch, I just want to catch a lot of them!

We have a cottage on lee river and I am heading out there tonite, I usually fish right in front ogf the cottage which is right beside the "flats" and can catch a few, also have a few of the reefs marked on gps from summer fishing that we try towards Wendigo and grausdin point, might also tackle the mouth of lee river this weekend. I will be in a clam voyager and a polaris dragon stop by if you are around..... Good luck

your best bet for catching will be trying for pike, the walleye are there but very hard to catch in the winter it seems, if you have some sort of mobility the common places out there to fish in the winter anyways will be willow reef and hay bay creek, there may be some permies set up at the reef and will definately have been people at the creek by now

I must disagree, even in town at the main launch in lac d you can easily limit out on walleye and sauger..... We have never had a problem catching at the lake and really find it no different than in the summer..
