boot conditioner
« on: Feb 18, 2011, 09:01 AM »
Hey I just bought a pair of lacrosse ice kings half off at gander mountain. What Im wondering seeing as we are closing in on spring is what everyone out there does to condition their boots. I read something about putting armor all on the rubber, and I guess any leather conditioner would work for the top part. Thanks for any ideas.

All you really need is boot oil. Oil them down before you put them away for the year. Oil the entire boot. Next year oil them a couple times during the season.

snoseal will weaken stitching after a lot of applications. Obenauf's is far and away the best product to use.

I like bees wax myself, used mink oil for years but it will eventually rot the leather.

I use "Neets foot oil" (its a product for horses hoofs) and apply it with a small paint brush
