rainbows attracted to sound
« on: Jan 13, 2005, 07:01 PM »
this happened to us last year and i was just wondering if anyone else has had similar findings with trout or fish in general.
Ill have to admit that the trout that day were biting good.....anyway every time i would relight the propane heater another school of trout would show up under our holes.shut the heater off and they would dissapear. It took a couple of times to realize what was in fact happening and when i did realize what was happening then i began to expeirment and sure enough the sound of the propane heater was bringing them in.our heater is older so it seems to have a bit of a light crackle sound to it.other heaters of the same style dont seem to have this crackle.call me crazy but it truly happened to many times to be a coincedence. Now is there not some invention that a person has developed that sounds like swimming fish?if so what is it?

any chance that the fish were attracted to the light and not the sound? We use light sticks to fish for trout in the spring and fall and it works very well.
Just a thought.
