anyone wanna join us?
im actually going there for the first time ever, just for a snap of a large pike hopefully! any tips? is the fishing by the sundance plant good?

I fish wab quite a bit and usually either just go in town about 150 yards straight out from the peir in about 10 ft of water. The other spot I go to is over at seba on the right side at the end of the point. This spot is great in march especially. Can't help you on the sundance side as I havnt ever fished that side. But lots of guys also fish the point over at falls. Anyways good luck. In town btw is drivable. My buddy was out yesterday and drove out in his jeep and didn't even have to touch the 4x4. but there is some spots that are solid and others that have a couple inches of slush under a layer of Ice but he still wasn't breaking through to the slush

For big pike use tip-ups with herring or something like it 8-12 inches long. Doing that we caught a 38 inch 16 pounder on Saturday. I find it better if the bait lies horizontal. Set the lure 2-4 feet above the bottom depending if you are around 8 feet or 12 feet of water.

ive had good luck on the east side of fallis in 10 - 15 fow.

How did you make out? 
I was out on Wab on the 11th at Fallis.  I only stayed 2 hours (had my Mom and 2 kids with me).  We did well.  My Mom's first trip to Alberta and first time ice fishing.  She caught a 9lb pike on a gold sweedish pimple with a tail hooked smelt.  In all we caught 5 pike.  A seven pounder and then 3 smaller ones.  A green bucktail caught the smaller ones.  They are starting to get a bit more aggressive.
The ice was thick and driving was good.
