Fishable ice on Shadehill?
« on: Feb 09, 2005, 12:36 PM »
Anyone know if there is still fishable ice on Shadehill Res.? If so any recommendations on where or how deep, or what works well to fish it through the ice? Thanks for your help....

I'm getting desprate for ice and am starting to look at 4 hour drives!!

Not enough ice or time... not necessarily in that order.

I live within 70 miles of Shadehill and fish it in the summer. I have asked about ice fishing there but have not got any response either. Either the ice fishing is no good or it is so good no one is talking !!
The phone # to the store is 605-374-5535. They may be open this late, I am not sure. It was still open the weekend after Thanksgiving.
Let me know if you get any info.

I'm not surprised. I call up there in the summer and they don't have a clue.
I think they have a nice store with lots of potential but it lacks management. I called a convenience store in Lemmon and got some information about the fishing. Unfortunately I don't have the number any more.

The Pit Stop or Cenex would be the two places to call, I don't have the number right off hand.  Hope you found something.

man I spent an entire week on that lake this summer, and I have no intention of going back. The fishing there blows. 4 walleye in 7 days.1 the first day (must have been a fluke) and 3 the morning of the day we were leaving. >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(
