Duane lake ( Duanesburg)

Has anyone fished this lake? Just got permission to access and not sure what is even in there. If anyone could help me out i would appreciate it a bunch. Feel free to send me a PM. Thanks a Bunch

I had permission yrs.ago but I just stop going there.  was thinking about doing it again, we used to catch perch

I fished it as a kid back in the 80s, since my parents had friends that lived on the lake.

I used to take their rowboat out all the time when we would eat dinner there and stuff. 

I did catch some pretty nice largemouth in there back in the day in openwater.  I don't know how the ice fishing fares though.

That lake flies under most people's radar since access is limited (at best).

does anyone know if there are crappie in there?

not sure about crappies, but I've caught yellow perch, sunfish and bass.   The secret is finding where the old rock walls cut through weedbeds

FYI, they don't allow power augers or machines on the ice there.

ive never even seen the lake before but got a call from a relative saying they bought a house there and i could fish there if i wanted to. I only know its pretty shallow. I guess i will have to poke around.

I fished it for about 4yrs straight. big large mouth, perch, suns, and some real nice smallies. never seen any crappie. oh yeah I only fish open water though , no ice fishing. nice small lake...
