I fished here once three years ago and didn't get a nibble--obviously didn't know where to go.  It's a lake only accessible by ice fishermen I believe--I don't think there is a public landing on this lake.  I have a couple of friends who live on the lake and wondered if I should bug them to fish by their  houses, but without a fish finder, I'm going to use a map and my instincts.  Anyone know of a map of Walled lake (for water depths and holes) or know where to start on that lake? It's not in my southeast michigan book of lake maps, most likely because it's essentially private.

Looks like there will be plenty of ice this weekend, even though the temps will be in the 40's.

Here is a map not the best but the only free one I could find. As far as fishing walled lake I have never been there. Good luck to you hope this helps.

Yeah I hear there is good fishing out there but you have to know the spots I guess. I have heard somthing about an old indian structure in the water and how good the fishing is there but I dont know the details..

Yep, the Indian structre is a rock wall built across the lake by oppossing tribes to divide the lake. Supposedly on clear water days the structure can be seen in some areas still.
Thats why it was named "WALLED LAKE".

Too much boat traffic during the day. The long shallow flats do not afford easy access to deep water for the predators. Hit it afetr dark!
Otherwise, hit deeper waters during the day, or the weeds on the west side. ;)
Kinda of a generic description, but it will get you started.

I don't know anything about walled lake...
But what I would do is start drilling holes next to the shore, IF you hit dirt, you'll have to move deeper..

Actually it's Robert but whatever. The shoreline shallows extend very far out around most of the lake. You can see this in the summer by observing the long, long, long docks for boats, and the tethered boats that are way out anchored as well.

But you did make a good funny!

If this was one of my honey holes, I would not have commented on it as much. I fish it more in the summer/spring, but have not had enough luck in winter to worry about it. I allways end up in one of the many local pubs somehow.

I have heard of good fish there but like it was said before to much traffic. Plus I would like to add the lake in my opinion is way to big. I like a small secluded lake that is where the fish are......

I found this for a map.  I'm still unsure on where to go other than follow the herd out from the beach.
