« on: Jan 02, 2011, 10:38 AM »
Does anyone have gps routes to lakes they would like to share in kml format. I have heard several comments how to get certain lakes in the flathead but then someone always says depends where you live for differant route to get there. Thanks i just have a garmin hand held but can import kml from mapsource.

Are you looking for lakes that aren't shown on a standard atlas?

Mountaineer:

Not sure about your format, but have you tried a search and picking coordinates from Google Earth? Download Earth, search the lake with a state reference and when you scroll over it with the cursor, the coordinates will be displayed.

Google Earth also does a good job of showing roads and road names when you zoom-in. I use it quite a bit.
