Jiffy 3500 Legend XT
« on: Dec 14, 2010, 09:25 PM »
I just got a new Jiffy Legend XT and it's rip cord doesn't contract all the way and i was wondering if this is a defect or not. It also wouldn't pull after i took it out of the box so i took the cap off and gave it a rip a few times till it started to pull. Any ideas???

I have the all new propane powered auger from Jiffy.  It also has the same rip cord but it retracts all the way once pulled.  I would definitely take it back to the dealer you got it from.  For the money you paid for it they need to fix the problem!  The cord should not be hanging down.  It should retract all the way so the handle is tight.

It's probably something pretty simple, but it is something you shouldn't have to deal with!!!
