Manistique lake ice conditions

Does anyone know what the ice conditions are on either of the Manistique lakes? I will be staying at the south lake x-mas week hoping to rip some lips. It will be my first time fishing that lake, any advice would be appreciated. Also wandering if theres a bait store in Curtis?

Yep there is a bait store in Curtis, its called the Fish and Hunt shop, Its right in town.  I conditions? do not know that but would guess by Christmas ice would be good on the big lakes, but if not there are a few small lakes in the area that by looking at the forecast weather conditions id bet there would be ice on those. Call the hunt and fish shop, they should be able to give you the most up to date conditions. Message us back and let us know how ya did, good luck.

Not sure if there is good ice right now but its been cold and more of the same coming. I will start checking ice next week
right now I'm still deer hunting.
