Hey Sturg, good to see you on this board.  As I drove past Riverfront on my way into town yesterday I could see somebody icefishing.  I didn't stop and ask how he was doing but on my way back home I stopped in and walked out to his hole.  The ice was about 4-5".  However across the lake there is still a section of open water where all the ducks are roosting so I would be very cautious.

Be very careful if you try Laurel.  There is the two spots where it is aerating in front of the windmills and the ice there is always very unstable.  Also I heard a while back that the pond has a few hot spots and the ice thickness can change quick. I was fishing a friends pond today and it had 6 solid inches.  We caught 6 it was a good day.
Below the radar.  Under the glass.

Went out last night up at a high mountain lake. I was expecting 4-5 inches but it fluctuated a lot from 1-3.  Just be careful.  70+ fish though so the risk was well worth it! ;D
