any one know how congamond's ice is holding up? got to get my kids out one last time this weekend. going to florida to see my sick grandma with the family the week after, don't think the ice will be safe for the kids when i get back

havent been this week but last week there was about 10 inches and it was super slushy due to the rain. i have a feeling its no good to tell u the truth. but i havent been there this week so not positive.

Saw some tip-ups out in front of the boat ramp saturday afternoon,person was sitting in there truck. North pond has alot of visible open water,that you can see from the road!

Stopped by on Saturday afternoon to check it out, the edges down near the marina looked pretty sketchy to me.  Be careful.

Went to Congamond, middle pond today. The Saunders boat launch is open water. I was able to get on. However the ice is very soft and many sun holes. I would not take any children on this ice. The ice once on the pond is 6-8" thick. With the warm temps this week this ice will be gone soon. Hope this helps. Be safe.

Went by there Monday morning, I would say its cooked! actually a guy I work with lives on North pond and he said he`s not going on there either so I would pass on Congamond.

I was checking out the ice the other day, and it was 3 inches of white ice, not much black ice right where they pulled that car out. Safe to say, I'm not venturing out until I can fit my canoe inbetween the ice chunks.
