going to long lake

Im going to long lake in the next hour by 7:00 any body want to come?

  Went to long, unfortunately it was slow and cold with no sun till late afternoon when i was leaving. Caught a couple small perch that was it. Maybe sun is the key there as sun was out the last time I caught lots.
  Try ed out the new flasher and was marking lots but they where not biting, marked a few pike but was not my target, could see on the flasher about a foot above my hook. I think I'm gonna really like the flasher as i could tell if fish were there or not, just gotta make em bite now. At least I new fish were there.
  All was not lost though got to see 6 mule deer standing about 30 ft away from the truck for about 10 minutes they new it was not hunting season. Still a good day out of the house and not watching TV.
  Think I'm gonna try North Buck or Misawawi next time maybe Beaver, never been to Beaver.

Did you move around alot? I was there 3 weeks ago and we probably drilled about 40 holes and moved 4 or 5 times with no bites. We finally got lucky and caught 7 11-12" keepers within 10 mins.

No. Too Cold no sun. But like I said the flasher was showing them there just not interested. Would follow the hook but not bite.

I forgot to mention I'm heading there tomorrow. Let's hope the sun is shinning.

  I was down from the boat launch about 1/4 mile a little jog out and weed bed bed before first bay in 15 fow and they were there but not biting. Another bunch were there in the far end of the first bay 2 trucks.
