Is fishapalooza a good tourny or does it seem like there is cheating going on there...has anybody on here won anything there?

If I'm not fishing or hunting right now, you can bet that I\'m thinking about it!

About ten years ago someone was caught cheating.  That was back when it was the Golden Rainbow contest.
There's quite a security force out there for Fishapalooza.  They constantly walk around looking for anything out of place. I was talking to one of the security dudes when he walked by. He said contestants at the contest help a lot with the security. He said when your competing for big prizes like that, no one want's to see someone cheating because it might be taking a prize away from someone that legitimately catches a fish.

My buddy Nick came in 35th place and won a marcum VS820 underwater camera.  Sweet camera!
Plus the contest is put on by the vfw. I read that they raised $35000 for disabled vets at the last contest.  got to like that.

They have a area you need to stay in. It's pretty big though. It's gotta be a half mile square. At least it feels like it when your walking around.
You can see the fishing area on there website map page.
