When to a local togue lake and said that I am finally going to catch a lake trout jigging. Well thanks to my Marcum, I did. At first I was using a large swedish pimple and would see fish come up and take a look at the jig and go away, so i downsized. This was the ticket and I soon landed my togue on a jigrod.

I dropped the jig back down and bang another

I ended up catching 4 more all between 18 and 20 inches. First time jigging for them with the the marcum and was very impressed.

Went this morning and only caught one but lost 2 more. This is the largest togue I have caught jigging at 21.5 inches and pretty hefty.

Looks like you are going to have tip ups for sale in the future. Your getting pretty good with a jig rod.

I find myself jigging more now that I have my Marcum. Try some Fatboys with green magots on the hook.

Great work! Keep chasing them! They are such a blast on the jigging rod. I had a day just like that last March - and it was the first time in 5 years of trying to jig up togue that I had success. Here's one with a nice large brookie in the mix!

I'm still chasing that dream day again, this year and years to come .............

Nice job! I wish i had the patience to jig. I get bored with it after about 3 minutes. I suppose a flasher might make a difference though.

Nope, I think I am giving up on that lake.... After all the times I fished that lake last year, I oly got one 13 inch salmon out of it and a bunch a chew and screws. Not like the year before. Have you?
