I'd rock the PINK tip-ups.......my kids would love them also.......as would the wife........

They would go nicely with the RED Eskimo QuickFish 3 shelter!!!

Have to stay color coordinated

Funny how this thread transpired. Sorry JJ. I think I may have to get a different shack after this thread. Lmao. Don't need any extra friendly jiggers stoppin' in.

I've heard stories of poachers doing this on lakes closed to icefishing, along with those white coveralls. Not sure the story was true but I bet it has been tried.

Would I be "Homophobic" if I got real worried about a guy setting up along side of me with a Red Hut, Pink Tip Ups and Thermal insulated knee pads?
If I agreed with you we would both be wrong!

Funny how this thread transpired. Sorry JJ.

That's ironic, I had made a comment about "sausage" a couple posts ago; I took it out, was a little overboard.

May have been a good call JJ. It may be best if we chill on this one for a bit. Someone will end up taking that one extra step to far.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I've developed a knack for walking that line without crossing it though. Sorry to keep you guys on your toes all the time.
Now we've got some true irony on this thread JJ. rg's thinking about Lake George after this thread??? Kidding. Get on up here rg. It seems the forcast has slightly changed from pushing 40 the next few days to topping out just above freezing.

I'll ignore that eyestroker. We've obviously never met ::)

Gravlax is cold cured Salmon. I'll only make it with any Landlocks I can get my hands on. It's so simple to make and awesome.

Salmon fillets, skin on
1 cup sea salt
1/2 cup sugar
fresh dill (a good handful)
fresh ground black pepper

Prepare the fillets by removing the small bones from the lateral line using a pair of pliers.
mix the salt and sugar and coat the meat side of the fillets
sprinkle with fresh ground pepper, more or less up to you. I like a good bit.
chop the dill and sperad over the fillets

put the fillets in a glass dish with the meat sides together and skin sides out.

Cover with plastic wrap and weight down with a second glass dish the same size. Put some rocks (iuse a brick) in the top dish to add weight.

Refrigerate and turn the fish every day for 3 days.

Remove and scrape the dill and pepper from the meat. Slice really thin on the bias and serve.

Man I wish I had an Atlantic...this is making me hungry

Well rg, we've got salmon in the King too. You'd have to talk to JJ about finding those darn things though.
