Crappies in the hole
« on: Aug 27, 2009, 03:51 PM »
One of my favorite techniques is a 1/16 ounce frostee jiggin spoon tipped with red eurolarvae. Try it and send a message to tell me how it worked or works

Dude those are sweet.  Thanks SkeeterJeff.  I have never seen spikes in different colors like that.  That could make all the difference when those panfish are being finicky.  Does anyone use these?

we use them here all winter long on panfish, even this fall allready we can get them . fish don't just turn on when they see em, they gotta be in the biting mood, then it can be fun.

I only have white spikes out here where I am, so if I need color variations I use Berkley Gulp waxies in white usually, but have pink and brown as well, tip em on a gold Kastmaster spoon and its usually very deadly

I have seen at baitshops around here   red, green, and pink........it just gives you something to experiment with when the fish aint biting.............I prefer 3 "au natural" eurolarvae on my "Moe's Blue Glo-jig" myself!!!!!

I had gotten some "freeze dried" maggots in a can before. They were AWESOME! and a heck of a lot cheaper than waxies! the gills loved them and the crappies had a hard time getting to them before the gills did, but worked for both ;)

Thanks for the link, will be trying out those variations in colors.  Good for matching jig color.
