I was concerned that the warm rainy spell last week made backwaters unsafe. Any reports from say, Sabula to Fulton, or any area nearby?
I live roughly a good hour ESE of Fulton. Hate to make the drive for nothing. I guess I could stop in Morrison and give Carlton a try. Anyone had any luck there?

I just checked the ice today. It's a good 6". Didn't have time to fish. I will be going out tomorrow sometime. Making sure my electronics are all charged up tonight.

Hey guys does Carlton get alot of pressure during the week for ice fishing ? It's been years since I've been there. Used to deliver uniforms there to the DNR guys. Always remember the park really being an awsome looking place. Wouldn't mind trying it for ice fishing. Thanks-Glenn

As bigbucky1 said, watch out for the flashing lights on hyw.84. Especially from Cordova to Albany.  My wife drives to Moline for work daily from Thomson/Savanna area. She got nailed at Cordova doing 62 in a 55. Then the same s.o.b. stopped her a week later about the dealership frame around her back license plate saying it was illegal and needed to be removed immediately or she would be fined if it was not removed the next time he saw her car.

I hit the cut just south of Albany between Albany and Cordova the last 2 days with my little nephew.  Day before yesterday my nephew caught 1 dink large mouth and I got skunked.  Today we hit it for a few hours and both didnt get a bite.

It probably was a violation if it was covering the plate any.
