Fishing at night for trout?

For trout ive always just fished during the day. Is fishing at night good? glowing jigs only?? Anyone try for em after the sun goes down???

I never had luck at night fishing for bows summer or winter. :-\

small green or pink glow jigs with shrimp  at petes. squirrel nuts and i always slay them at night as well. you can see from most of our night time pictures. Good luck

Some of my biggest trout have been between 10 pm till 2 am.

u guys ever have any luck for things such as peamouth at nite? ever tried? seems like it always gets crappy when it starts to get dark, or is it just me.

Some species shut down when the dark comes and some start up.....maybe not right away after dark. I think some BIG fish on heavy pressure lakes (like Dragon in Quesnel) tend to show up when all crunching is done on the surface of ice or hum of motors are gone in summer. BIG fish adapt to survive.
I have found peamouth tend to shut down after dark....maybe they are hiding or trying to from the BIG boys :-\

Exactly right there TGF. If you think about it, it is usually the lake that have the species that dont have any real predators to worry about that you can catch at night..hmm think about it. The fish we catch are the predators
