Checking the ice today! Northern Alberta.
« on: Nov 29, 2009, 08:55 AM »
My Clam 2000 is packed away in the car, along with my jiggin' rods and 6 inch hand auger.

I've got my Garmin GPS set up and i'm going to look for ice.

As of now Lesser Slave Lake is not frozen, but the smaller lakes should be.  I was ice fishing in the Swan Hills last weekend. I'm going to check out Swan Lake today. Maybe even Sturgeon Lake.

I'll report when i get back into town.

Ahh, I know there are a couple of other lakes around there that were stocked with brookies too.  Good fish.  Enjoy your honey hole. :)
