buying a new shanty
« on: Dec 27, 2009, 01:15 PM »
I'm looking to buy a new shanty. Been looking @ an Eskimo x69163 Hard Water 350 Series Eskape Ice Fishing flip over. Curious if any one has any insight on this or one compareable. Any thoughts or info will be helpful. Thanks dbsnowman

Not familiar with that one.  I have a Frabill Trekker that is a 2 man foldover and I love it.  All my gear fits nicely in it, and I can get it in and out of my truck by myself.  Great shanty for the price.  Love the portability, it folds into a sled for gear and easy transport.  Put a Mr. Buddy heater in there and you're in a t-shirt in a couple of minutes.

Thanks for your responce. I have looked @ frailly shelters. I've been comparing different 2man and come across Eskimo series @ a good price and wanted some feedback from someone other than mange. Any info or comments about them will be appreciated. Thanks again.
