Axle for a build

Where do you guys find the axles for a crank-down wheel house style?  Or does someone have a link to how you can make them out of an existing axle? 
I think we are going to start to make an aluminum ice house, but we are struggling to find plans on how to do the axle stuff....and if you can do it with an existing axle, that'd be best, because we have a few of those laying around...

Other info about it.
We'll want to make it large enough to put our Ranger in the back, so the back wall will be either a double door, or a fold down door like larger enclosed trailers have.  We have most of the aluminum that we need (and an aluminum welder...) to build it, just trying to figure out how to make the axle work..

You can buy spindles/hubs bearings and such at any fleet farm or most hardware stores.  I've used old spindles from the back of front wheel drive cars too.

I think these would solve a lot of issues associated with home brew solutions....especiall y with
wheel tilt due to weight of trailer.
