Palestine Lake
« on: Nov 21, 2009, 06:25 AM »
Any of you guys ever fished Palestine Lake near Warsaw through the ice? I fished it a couple times this summer  and like the looks of it. The bait shop said it gets a lot of action in the winter for gills. I think I'll give it a try when it firms up. Any experienced guys on the lake?

Never ice fished, but that place is a fish factory.  Super fertile!

being "one of the better fisheries in my neck of the woods" is saying a lot from you Rico!!! LOL!!! Sounds like it gets hammered through the ice. I did well for bass and gills on there this summer. It's definitely on my ice list.

I saw more boats on the lake this summer than i have ever seen, they pounded the piss out of bluegills and crappies, also last winter the gills where hammered, we fished there this fall alot of little ones not alot of keepers, I think the lake has been hurt too many fish taken out but hope not. Unbelieveable the amout of fish some people take when they go out, people never think about tommorrow only today. sad sad.
