Ice Eastern Ontario

First bit of cold to hit the Ottawa area.  Looks like we maybe getting some hard water soon.  Ponds are frozen over.
 Please post any reports for this area here.

you guys were on the right track....but with the snow that's on it's way...it might push back your ice.....


Has anybody checked out on calabogie???  them little lakes should be starting to freeze up....


yeah it's -30 this morning...just thought i'd throw that out there....

Still aways off I think.  The small river in town is still wide open.  Bring on the cold!!!

Here in SK southern lakes are now receiving 4-6 inches of ice with central lakes being 6-10" and some more. current temp is -25 with the overnight average the past 2 days being -33.

Glad this snow is not coming on the weekend when we should see a good skim of ice in some places. That would have haulted our ice making for a little while  :blink:

The small pond in town up at my cottage was completely frozen over as of Saturday. If there is no ice around here soon, you bet you can find me out there chasing pike and pannies before the chaos around here. Trout opens up on Decemeber 20th as an exception up there so my first ice weekend might be kind of intresting this year :)

Got out Saturday.  3.5 to 4 inches.  The season has begun!!!
