Producer of this " story " is just trying to take you for a ride. BS if I ever saw any. The narrator of this is stupid and ugly, and because of that has to play games with people to enjoy his pitiful life. Believe it if you must, I wish the mods removed it before I was tempted to read it.

I was living near and fishing Flaming Gorge when this incident took place. While I agree the narration leaves something to be desired, the story, I believe, is true. I remember the newspaper interview and pictures published in the paper. There were even people making "Thumb Lures" and selling them in local sporting goods stores. Believe it or not.
