I am also interested in this product after seeing it on the internet.  Has anyone else used it, or heard anything about it?

My buddy used one last year, and he really liked it. A little less bulky, and pricey than the big name flashers, but way better than fishing ''blind.'' Looked fairly easy to operate,as well. If I didn't own any sonar and was looking to up my game I would buy one.

I got one 2 years ago when they first came out. They were called the VPG then. I have had one software upgrade and wish to do another but don't have the money to do so. The Showdown is very easy to use and it is easy to see your jig and the fish coming up to get it. I am very happy I got it instead of a Vex or Marcum. I was going to get an IceMachine from Lowrance but then these came out and they were only $229 at the time. Now they are $279. The only issue I realy have with it is that the arm to hold the transducer is not made to be very tough. I broke mine but Thorne Bros. sent me a replacement for nothing. I just don't extend it out too far to keep from putting too much stress on the arm. The battery last for ever and the unit is very quiet. Just a little ticking noise from the ducer. No whizzing noise. Love the zoom feature too. Although the latest upgrade lets you set your zoom range by 1 foot increments instead of 5 foot increments. Some people have bashed the Showdown...but I love it.
