Broken Tail!

I have an Aqua Vu explorer 5, yesterday the camera cord un-coiled, the camera itself fell and the tail broke off the camera! I super glued it back together and then coated the cracks again with a second coat of super glue! Just wondering if this will be ok...everything seems to be working fine on land. :-\

it should be fine... just for extra insurance i would sand it down a little bit then re coat it again :tipup: :tipup: the tail thing only makes it look like a fish..

Thanks! I was hoping to hear that. I plan to use it tonight, i'll call aqua vu and see about a replacement. I just want to get by till I can get a new one.

Try roughing up the surface a little and use some glue called "Amazing Goop" slather it on pretty good. I use the goop on many things already and it works very well.

I had the same thing happen and I used the amazing goop stuff it works awesome. I keep a tube in my tackle box for insurance purps.

How did you make out with your camera? So far mine is working just fine. I used super glue ( two coats) and then i got some "amazing goop" and coated it again with that...so far, so good!

I used gel Super Glue - did 3-4 dots on the break - let it harden, then went back over it with a layer of glue on both sides of the crack. No other adhesive. Not had the camera back out since I glued it. I suspect it (tail) will be a weak spot - will have to take care handling it. Ironic thing is that mine broke in the house, after I had been out on the ice. Will find out how the fix works this weekend.

Found the goop stuff at a local store - $6-7 a tube. Super Glue was less expensive. Also picked up an extra fish skin as an insurance policy.
