Walleye Depth

What depth should i start at when targeting walleye this time of year.  The lake i want to try goes as deep as 40 ft.

I am no expert, but I would say you should be looking for the weedline in 10 to 14 feet of water.  Preferably close to a drop off point near deep water.

IT DEPEND ON WHAT TIME OF DAY YOUR FISHING. IF YOUR GONNA FISH EYES AT NIGHT STAY IN THE 15-5 FEET OF WATER. IF YOUR GONNA FISH EYES DURING THE DAY, PUT SOME TRAPS IN THE SHALLOW WATER BUT FOCUS MORE ON THE DEEPER SIDE OF THE DROPOFFS.
