Pike move or stay in one spot?
« on: Feb 06, 2009, 08:44 PM »
Do pike move around or stay in one area all winter long ?? Can i continue to set up in one area and catch pike or should i movearound. ?? Ive been setting up by a weed bed thats about 25 yrds away. And its on a slope. 7 ft -9 ft break. I just dont want to set up and not get anythig.

my friend caught a pike just under the ice over a 120' hole while fishing for salmon but i love to be right in or just above the weeds or whatever structure there might be

sounds like a good spot. if youve caught pike at that spot before, keep at 'er until it stops producing..theres only one way to really find out weither or not your gonna set up and catch pike..
