50 degrees and pooring rain... i believe that's all folks.  been a good year we started fishing loon lake (Steuben co.) before Christmas.  fished all over, never made it to Oneida like we wanted.  did get to keuka for perch, loads of fun there.  have a good spring and summer see you on myfishfinder.com.

I agree I want to go ice fishing as much as the next guy does but I do not want to go through ice either, It is just better to put the ice fishing gear away and gear up for sofwater season and spring turkey season.

Canadice lake was fine today and still 7.5" of ice. If you go down to the canoe launch where the granite bench is you can get out fine but it will be mussy. I expect you could also in the am. Didn't do any good but they were catching some crappies and smelt.

I was out today in shorts and a T. I lucked out. No rain on me today. I plan on making it til next weekend at least.

i was coming off chaumont bay today and come across a bunch off water at first it looked like open water it was about a foot deep on the ice had to go aways around it that was enough for me its time to get the boat ready

we got a little more time here in WNY. Thunder, lightning, and hail today what a trip. It is now 37 and no rain or wind just watch the old holes and carry picks. I don't fish much when the ice is gone so I will find safe ice...

Was on little sagandaga sat. Had 20 inches or so still. A little bit of water on top but should b good 4 awhile i think. There r still people on oneida with 4 wheelers so im guessing still a foot or so. Will find out exactly how much tomorrow! When it starts gettin real thin ill drag my gear out there in my canoe!jk    tight lines
