i know the answer to this one ma   ;D i believe there is a spot to park next to the store on the corner. if there is room, you can drive down 41 and park on the side of the road, dunno bout that one tho since we have plenty of snow for big banks. keep goin down 41, past the zoo, and before long you'll see an old chimney on the left hand side....there's a boat launch right after the chimney.

pretty much, all those ponds are connected, minnehonk (taylor and hopkins stream), parker pond, and echo.

if you guys are gonna fish minnehonk and go off the boat launch be sure to drill some test holes, there is a dam right next to the launch, so the ice may be unstable

just to let you know, the best fishing is near the outlet, if you get set up there early in the morning, you'll limit out on just about everything by 2PM. Use smelts and dont 4get the trout must be 12 inches

If you don't mind walking north about two miles up taylor pond, hopkins stream, around hopkins pond, up a smaller stream and then to the south end of Minnehonk.  Most people just park along rt. 41 right next to the lake.    You can easily fish right from your vehicle this way.

Vernon, but I would inquire by telephone or in person first, if you are going on the weekend your best bet is to get there early for a parking spot. As for parking along Route 41 heading up the lake out of town towards the chimney, there is extremely limited parking so unless you are there at like 4:30 am on the weekend I'd say forget that, especially with high snow banks after last storm. Your other option is to park along Rout 41 right next to the town beach which is on the left side of the general store. A word of caution about the mill stream that runs in on the Northeast side if the pond right in town, this is where the best fishing is but be aware of open/moving water. This year it is froze over, how much ice I don't know, just be careful, check ice thickness, can be a dangerous spot. Good Luck, stay safe!  :)
